Toni Kroos has made it clear that France holds no fears for the German national team.
The 2014 World Cup winners meet Les Bleus in the Euro2016 semi-final in Marseille on Thursday night and despite Didier Deschamps' side playing their best football of the tournament in the quarter-final against Iceland, Kroos says there is no reason to fear the hosts.
"If tomorrow night doesn't go well for us, I'm certainly not going to use the Italy game as an excuse," said Real Madrid midfielder Kroos regarding the hard-fought victory over the Azzurri in the last eight.
"Of course we have a lot of respect for them and I think they've got better as the tournament has progressed.
"We've seen they've got plenty of good individuals, but we certainly don't need to be afraid.
"Fear is not the right word."
