Euro2016: On paper, England would beat Wales, but it doesn't work like that - Wilshere

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has claimed that England have a better squad on paper than British counterparts Wales.

However, Wilshere admits that will count for nothing when the two teams face each other in their second Group B fixture at Euro2016 on Thursday.

"If you put both teams down on paper, we would win the game - but it doesn't work like that in football," the 24-year-old said.

"Everyone knows that. The Premier League is the perfect example of teams beating better teams at the end of the day.

"We have to work hard, show some passion and pride and let the quality take over."
