Joe Hart has accepted blame for England's disappointing defeat at Euro2016.
The Manchester City goalkeeper was at fault for Iceland's second goal in the 2-1 Round of 16 loss in Nice on Monday and says he shoulders the blame for the early exit from the competition.
"We're going to have to take some responsibility and me personally, I have to take some responsibility because I should be saving at least two goals that have happened in this tournament," he told TheFA.com.
"The one tonight put us in a bad situation and we weren't able to recover from it.
"As a group it's down to us. All the plans are put in place – we knew everything about them that we needed to.
"Ultimately we didn't perform. I didn't perform personally to the level that's required to push through to the quarter-finals."
