Euro2016: Hallgrimsson likens Iceland to Leicester City

Iceland co-manager Heimir Hallgrimsson has likened his team's Euro2016 campaign to that of Leicester City's Premier League title triumph last season.

The tiny nation of just over 330,000 shocked the football world by defeating England 2-1 in the Round of 16 stage of the tournament earlier this week.

They will now face hosts France on Monday for a spot in the semi-finals of their first major tournament and Hallgrimsson is hoping to do a Leicester after the Foxes surprised all before them to land an unlikely league title in 2015/16.

Hallgrimsson told uefa.com: "I really would like things to end like they did with Leicester.

"They played to their strengths and we are trying to do the same.

"I think there is the same kind of spirit in both teams, we are willing to work together."
