Gareth Bale is delighted with the fact that Wales managed to finish above rivals England in the group stages of the European Championships.

Wales have been magnificent during Euro2016 so far and managed to top Group B, ahead of much fancied rivals England.

Star man Bale has understandably been left delighted with Wales' performances in the competition in France and has stated that finishing above England gives him a just a little bit more satisfaction.

The Real Madrid star, who has three goals at Euro2016, told talkSPORT: "Obviously it's been an amazing experience for us.

"Our target was to get out of the group, and to win the group is even more special.

"I suppose it's one over on the English!

"To score goals as well; it's amazing to do it in such a big tournament. But the main thing is the team is through, and we're playing well."
