Arsenal star Olivier Giroud wants the France national team to shed their 'bogey' tag with Germany when the two nations face each other in the Euro2016 semi-final on Thursday.
France have not defeated Germany at a major tournament since 1958, but Giroud believes that the final four meeting in Marseille will be a perfect opportunity for them to rewrite history.
"It's something we're going to have to change because they're a bit like our bogey side," said Giroud.
"They're always tight matches with a lot at stake between two big football nations. We want to reverse the trend if we want to win the Euros."
