Eugenio Corini has taken charge of Chievo Verona.
The former Flying Donkeys midfielder was called in after Mimmo Di Carlo oversaw five consecutive Serie A defeats.
“I feel ready to take this great opportunity offered to me by the club. My intention is to transmit competence, enthusiasm and motivation to the squad,” he told the Chievo website.
“Those are all components that belonged to ‘my’ Chievo when we reached Serie A in 2001.”
