Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu said he was overjoyed for teammate Bobby Zamora after he scored the winner against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Zamora is slowly returning to full match fitness after five months out with a knee injury and was on hand to guide the Cottagers to a win with a late penalty conversion to force a 3-2 result at home.
Etuhu told the London Evening Standard that he was delighted for to see Zamora do the job when it was needed.
"I was so happy for him. He's a good friend and you could see how happy all the boys were for him," Etuhu said.
"He's had a hard time but he's coming back now and looking strong. He just needs some games under his belt to get his confidence back and his sharpness.
"It's like having a new signing."
