Eto'o: Mourinho let me take Inter Milan Champions League team talk!

Samuel Eto'o has revealed how Jose Mourinho allowed him to take the half-time team talk during Inter Milan's 2010 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Mourinho led Inter to an unprecedented treble back in 2010 and arguably their greatest achievement during the campaign was lifting the Champions League title with a 2-0 victory over German giants Bayern.

Now ex-Inter striker Eto'o has gone on to reveal that he also had a big role to play in Inter's European triumph by stating that he was the one who took the team talk at half-time in the game against Bayern after being handed the responsibility by Mourinho.

Eto'o told Sky Italia: "Mourinho did something that few others would. He gave his team talk ahead of the game, then said: 'Now Samuel will tell us how we're going to win'. I have to thank him for that.

"I said that I had played many finals but that this was the most special. We had to do something for the people, for the Inter population who deserved it.

"I said: 'Either we win the Champions League, or we die trying. We've got to die on that pitch to bring home the cup or we'll die because we won't return to Milan with the cup'. Fortunately, it all went well."
