Etienne Capoue was delighted to make a winning Tottenham debut at Crystal Palace.
The former Toulouse midfielder caught the eye as a second-half substitute.
"It was a great experience, a great feeling to be out there," he told the Spurs website. "We are such a good team and it was amazing to play a part in a win on the first day.
"It was hard work out there, but that's my job, to defend and then join the attack.
"I thought we played well and deserved to win and as I said, it was amazing to play."
