Estuadiantes have confirmed a new offer has arrived from Wigan Athletic for striker Mauro Boselli.

The Argentine is in co-ownership with Boca Juniors.

Estudiantes say they have accepted an offer from Wigan in excess of £6million for the highly-rated 25-year-old.

"We have received the new offer from Wigan and we need to chat with the directors of Boca and the representatives of Marco so we can define the transfer," said Estudiantes president Ruben Filipas.
