Michael Essien insists Chelsea can win an unprecedented Quadruple this season.

The Blues are eight points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race but Ghana midfielder Essien, 25, reckons their African Nations Cup stars have returned just in time to fire them to glory.

Avram Grant's side take on Tottenham in this month's Carling Cup final, while they are also eyeing success in the FA Cup and Champions League now that strikers Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel are back from international duty.

Essien added: "This could still be a really big season for us. We're still in all four competitions and we will do everything to win as many of them as we can.

"Winning all four trophies is a possibility."
