The North American Soccer League (NASL), the second tier domestic soccer league in the US, has extended and expanded its broadcast partnership with ESPN, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. As part of the new deal, the majority of 2015 NASL matches will be broadcast across ESPN's streaming service, ESPN3.
A minimum of 120 matches will be covered on ESPN3, and the networks Latin American and European digital platforms, ESPN Play and ESPN Player.
15 regular season home games will be featured from the following eight NASL clubs: the Atlanta Silverbacks, Carolina RailHawks, Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Indy Eleven, Jacksonville Armada FC, Minnesota United FC, San Antonio Scorpions, and Tampa Bay Rowdies.
The New York Cosmos, Ottawa Fury, and FC Edmonton have extant broadcast deals that prevent their 2015 home games' inclusion in the new league-wide ESPN deal.
