ESPN apologise to Chelsea boss Villas-Boas over Drogba controversy

ESPN have apologised to Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas.

The Daily Mail says Villas-Boas has been extended a personal apology from ESPN after footage from Saturday's FA Cup clash against Birmingham appeared to undermine his authority.

Cameras picked up footage of Didier Drogba giving a pep talk in the Stamford Bridge tunnel just before the start of the second half.

An ESPN official spoke to Villas-Boas in the Stamford Bridge tunnel to offer an apology and explain the footage was not intended to question the Portuguese manager's authority.
