Espanyol striker Gerard Moreno has spoken of his running battle with Gerard Pique during last night's 1-1 draw with Barcelona.

After Pique's goal and taunts to the home fans, Moreno went in hard on Pique, which left the Barca defender angry and remonstrating.

"In the end it is a derby, it is normal that in these games the tension is high, but in the end everything must stay here on the field, everything must stay on the field and not be sacrificed," Moreno explained.

He continued: "He came to reproach the tackle, which has been hard, but many players do this and then nothing happens, everything must stay on the field. It is ugly, but in the end it is his actions.
