Tottenham chief Franco Baldini flew to Barcelona yesterday.
Barcelona trio Alexis Sanchez, Daniel Alves and Cesc Fabregas have all been linked with moves away from the Catalan giants in recent weeks.
However, with Spurs naming Mauricio Pochettino as new manager, it could be Espanyol where Baldini was heading for.
Pochettino still has close ties with his former club and the likes of goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, midfielder Alex Fernandez and defender Hector Moreno are coveted by bigger clubs.
