Espanyol have released midfielder Eduardo Costa.
The Brazil international, 26, spent last season on-loan at Gremio and had discussed returning to Barcelona with Espanyol chief Paco Herrera last month.
However, Eduardo has signed a three-year contract with Sao Paulo to end his connection with the Spanish Liga club.
