Espanyol are becoming frustrated in their bid to sign Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura. The Spanish club set a deadline of last Friday to hear back from the Japan international and have not heard from him.

The 30-year-old is in advanced talks with his former club Yokohama Marinos and has a long-stated ambition to return to them.

Celtic hope he will stay on for another year but his wife is said to be keen to return to Japan this summer.
