Spanish side Espanyol are monitoring the situation of Liverpool youngster Jerome Sinclair, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Despite being hailed as one of the finest young players in the Liverpool academy, the future of 19-year-old striker Sinclair has long been in doubt due to the fact that he has not signed an extension to his contract which expires at the end of the current campaign.

The long drawn negotiations has alerted a host of clubs and now according to reports, it has been claimed that La Liga side Espanyol are preparing to make a swoop for the former England U17 internaitonal during the January transfer window.
