Ivan de la Pena is set to be handed a long-term contract offer by Espanyol.

The 32 year-old midfielder will be tabled terms through to 2011, with his current deal expiring at the end of this season.

Espanyol chiefs want to build Tintin Marquez's new team around De la Pena and are confident he wants to see out his days playing in Barcelona.
