Espanyol have been left disappointed after Genoa trumped them for Inter Milan striker David Suazo.
The Spanish Liga outfit had hoped to sign the Honduras international next week, but Genoa stepped in yesterday to close a loan agreement with Inter for the player.
Espanyol transfers chief German de la Cruz hinted last night they will now go all out to land a new striker during the winter market.
"We will probably make a single purchase in January and focus all our efforts on just one player," he said.
