Espanyol are bracing for an offer from Manchester City for defender Victor Ruiz.
City chief Brian Marwood was in Spain last week to make a personal check on the young stopper.
Ruiz has also been linked with Napoli, though City are regarded as favourites.
The Daily Mail says so certain are the Spanish side of an offer that they are looking to recruit a new left-sided centre half.
