Espanyol defender Victor Ruiz has played down talk of a move away.

Ruiz has been linked with Tottenham and Italy's Napoli this week.

"The first objective is the safety of the team, the fans deserve it. My future? I'm happy with the interest of other clubs, but for now I only think of Espanyol. Here I have the opportunity to play first team football. I will decide together my agent my future at the end of the season."
