Espanyol chief Jordi Lardin has called on Pau Lopez to make a decision about his contract status.
With his deal to expire in June, the goalkeeper has been linked with Juventus in recent days.
Lardin stated: "The coach decides on sporting merits, Espanyol cannot wait any longer, we have been waiting for a call since November 12. We have not received anything, we have ended the wait, we hope that Pau will say what he has to say. If he wants to stay, we hope he takes the step.
"The amount of the contract is important, but it's the first amount, a million, it's in numbers, he's not the best paid, but he's 23. It was a proposal to start talking and we did everything possible to have as soon as possible a counter proposal."
