Espanyol chief Ramon Planes has cooled talk of a move for Juventus striker David Trezeguet.

The France international has been linked with Espanyol.

But Planes told TMW: "Are we really following Trezeguet or is it just rumours? No, he is not among our real objectives.

"We like the player, but he does not match the type of player that we seek. Right now our priority is the purchase of a winger."
