Espanyol are interested in Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar.
Cuellar has little over a year left on his current deal.
The Spaniard, who can play full-back or centre-half, has featured sparingly in recent times and European chasing Espanyol are keen to bring him back to his homeland.
Cuellar, who made his name with Osasuna and Numancia, moved to Britain in 2007 when he joined Rangers.
