Sven Goran Eriksson returned to Manchester City last week.
The Sunday Mirror says the former England coach was chauffered into City's Carrington complex on Thursday morning to a warm welcome from all the City staff who have fond memories of the Swede.
Eriksson, who is on his way to the World Cup after being appointed the new coach of Ivory Coast, was meeting City's Ivorian defender Kolo Toure.
He also remains close friends with City boss Roberto Mancini, having managed the Italian at Sampdoria and Lazio before helping him launch a career in coaching. While Eriksson is preparing to lead the Ivory Coast at the World Cup, he is already receiving long-term management offers from exotic fields.
After the Ivory Coast's World Cup adventure, he can take charge of Iran.
