Sven Goran Eriksson wants to make at least TEN new signings as Manchester City manager this summer.
The Times says the Swede has been told he has about £40 million to spend and is thought to want as many as ten arrivals as he aims to overhaul a squad depleted by the loss of six senior players, including such talents as Joey Barton and Sylvain Distin.
Although he is pressing ahead with plans for the new season, Eriksson will not sign the three-year contract worth £7.5 million that is on offer until Thaksin Shinawatra has reached the 75 per cent threshold that will allow him to take the club off the Stock Exchange.
