Sven Goran Eriksson is being lined up for a move to Blackburn Rovers.

The Sunday Mirror says the former England, Manchester City and Leicester City boss is seen as a safe pair of hands to guide Rovers out of their current crisis.

Initially Eriksson is being considered a s a director of football to work alongside under-pressure boss Steve Kean.

If Kean fails to mastermind a revival to lift the club from the relegation zone Rovers could turn to Eriksson as their next manager.
