Sven Goran Eriksson has rejected £2.4million in unpaid wages to make a clean break from Notts County, reports the Daily Mail. New owner Ray Trew said: "All we've paid him is two months' arrears of wages and up until next Monday. He's been an absolute gentleman. 'He still had four-and-a-half years on his contract, and was entitled to (another) £2.4m.'
Eriksson's gesture comes as outgoing owner Peter Trembling prepares to take legal action against former proprietors Munto Finance, claiming that he and Eriksson were victims of a string of broken promises.
