Eriksson set for crunch Notts County talks

Sven Goran Eriksson is set to decide his future at Notts County in the next 48 hours.

The Sunday Mirror says although chairman Peter Trembling announced yesterday he has secured a management buy-out from Munto Finance, the former England coach's long-term future is still to be secured.

Eriksson served notice on County he was ready to quit last week after the Middle Eastern owners put the League Two side up for sale.

His salary has been slashed by events over the past 72 hours because the bulk of his £2million, five-year deal was linked with the club's flotation and share options.

Although the club will still pay Eriksson a six-figure salary, one option to prevent him quitting is to allow him a dual role at the club, which will enable him to coach a national side.
