Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits a new goalkeeper signing this week is "a must".

Both Andreas Isaksson and Joe Hart are nursing injuries, leading the club to be linked with Liverpool's Scott Carson, Chelsea's Carlo Cudicini and Livorno shot-stopper Marco Amelia.

Eriksson told the Manchester Evening News: "Joe Hart should be back training on Tuesday or Wednesday, a maximum of a week but Isaksson is worse. He has a hairline fracture and could be away for a month.

"It's not the best way to start the Premier League, starting with two very young goalkeepers. It's more or less a must that we bring another keeper in."
