Ivory Coast boss Sven Goran Eriksson will make a check on Wigan Athletic defender Steve Gohouri tomorrow.

Boss Roberto Martinez is ready to pick Gohouri for the clash with Hull - a game that new coach Eriksson will see to make his assessment.

Gohouri joined Latics from German side Borussia Monchengladbach and is desperate to claim a place in the squad for the finals in South Africa.

If Gohouri gets the call he could be one of FIVE Wigan players going to the elite tournament, with reserve goalkeepers Vladimir Stojkovic and Richard Kingson set to face each other in the Serbia-Ghana opening clash.
