Sven Goran Eriksson is in line for the manager's job at Notts County.

The Daily Express says Ian McParland is fighting to save his job - with Eriksson ready to step in at big-spending Notts County.

McParland is understood to have been given two games to avoid the sack by ambitious owners Munto Finance, who have been cleared by the Football League to complete their takeover.

Former Manchester City and England boss Eriksson is currently football director at Meadow Lane.
