Eriksson insists Bianchi wants Man City stay

Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has moved to reject reports that Rolando Bianchi was seeking a move away from City.

Bianchi was quoted in an interview in his homeland of being unhappy in England, but Eriksson insists the Italian is happy to fight for his place in the starting XI.

"I've known Bianchi now for six months and I know his character," added Eriksson. "I believe him when he says he didn't say these things.

"He wants to stay and fight for his place."
