Eriksson handed £1M Man City compo pay-out

Sven Goran Eriksson will be handed a knockdown compensation payout after his dismissal by Manchester City.

The Daily Mail says Eriksson is set to benefit from a £1million pay-off and will almost certainly be installed as Mexico's new coach ahead of the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.

This comes on top of the £4m in compensation that Eriksson pocketed from the FA after his job as England coach was terminated two years early after the World Cup Finals in Germany in 2006.
