Sven Goran Eriksson is in line for the job at Blackburn Rovers.
The Daily Star Sunday says Blackburn are looking for their third manager of the season having sacked Henning Berg on Boxing Day and seen Steve Kean resign back in September.
Eriksson, 64, came close to taking over at Ewood Park in 1997. The Swede agreed a deal to move to Lancashire from Sampdoria but performed a last-minute u-turn to take over at Lazio, where he would go on to win the Serie A title in 2000.
