Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is seeking £30 million from chairman Thaksin Shinawatra to spend in the summer market.

Eriksson remains disappointed at the small amount of money he was allowed to spend in January and was frustrated at being unable to firm up his interest in Dinamo Zagreb's £17m-rated Luka Modric.

Eriksson told the Manchester Evening News: "Dr Thaksin is most welcome, he has been away a long time. It will be nice to see him.

"I will have a meeting with him and his advisors and discuss next season. I am sure he has seen every game wherever he has been."
