Sven Goran Eriksson warned new Three Lions coach Fabio Capello he must win every game as England manager - or face becoming a national hate figure.
Eriksson spent five years in charge of England before handing over to the ill-fated Steve McClaren in 2006.
'For Capello to live well in England he will have to win, win and win again,' said the Manchester City boss. 'To sum it up, he'll need to win all the time. Every single match - even the friendlies.
'To defend himself from the criticism, he will need to avoid reading the newspapers. That is what I used to do.'
