Sven Goran Eriksson and Antonio Conte are among names being considered by Juventus to succeed coach Ciro Ferrara. La Stampa says Juve president Jean-Claude Blanc and patron John Elkann spent yesterday discussing candidates to replace Ferrara.

Eriksson, Marco van Basten and Conte were all considered, along with top two names Rafa Benitez, the Liverpool manager, and Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc.

Benitez is currently Juve's No1 choice, but his long contract and commitment to Liverpool is proving a major obstacle. Elkann and Blanc accept if they were to go for the Spaniard, they would have to wait until the end of the season to land him.
