Sven Goran-Eriksson is returning to English football as director of football at League Two club Notts County.

The former Manchester City and England boss will be appointed in the role after a Middle Eastern consortium took over the club last week.

The Swede's role will be a consultancy-type as Notts attempt to revive their halcyon days and is believed to be worth £2million a year.
