Christian Eriksen admits he surprised himself with how well his debut season with Tottenham progressed.
The Dane arrived last summer from Ajax.
"It was more than I ever expected," said Eriksen. "You always hear that the first season is one of acclimatization, but it's gone far beyond my expectations.
"It ended in any case better than I expected. The end went well, but there was a time when I doubted whether I should be playing.
"You're trying to convince yourself that you're supposed to play football and I was very happy with the end of my season."
