Christian Eriksen agrees with the notion that having a stable squad will only benefit Tottenham Hotspur.
The North Londoners have kept their entire playing group this summer, while adding Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama, which according to star midfielder Eriksen is a major positive.
However, the Denmark international is well aware that Spurs need to produce similar performances to last season if they want to be pushing for the Premier League title and a Champions League position once again.
“We need to bring what we did last season," he told reporters.
“We have the same team, we did well with the same team last year. Now we have two new players and hopefully that will make us even stronger.
“That will make us push even harder for one of the spaces we want but it's too early to say if we want the title or not.
“For us, we have to see where we are and continue to do well.
“We have Champions League to think about this year so it's a bit different to other years."
Speaking of the Champions League, the former Ajax ace admitted his excitement at being involved in Europe's premier club competition which will see Spurs play their home games at Wembley Stadium in 2016/17.
“It will be very fun. Hopefully there are some very good games we will have," he added.
“We play at Wembley so that will make it bigger for us. It's a bit different. The fans will probably love it and we will love it."
Eriksen is in Melbourne with Tottenham for the 2016 International Champions Cup, proudly presented by Audi.
