Erik Lamela in line for Roma debut today

Erik Lamela is in line for his AS Roma debut today against Palermo.

Francesco Totti missed the derby and is still out of action after a thigh strain, so Erik Lamela could receive his Roma debut.

Roma coach Luis Enrique said: “We started out with Totti and Miralem Pjanic, while Lamela is also a great player and it is possible to field all three at once. A team has to be balanced, but quality makes things easier.

“I have five players who can act as striker and only 11 players in total can start a game. I am very happy to have someone like Marco Borriello, or indeed the other forwards, at my disposal.”
