Erik Lamela excited about Roma future
Erik Lamela is excited about what lies ahead of him with AS Roma.
The Argentine midfielder completed his transfer to the Stadio Olimpico from River Plate this month.
“The passion of the Roma fans is so similar to that of River. Roma are a great club and I was given such a warm welcome,” Lamela told Sky Sport Italia.
“This is a very strong side and a splendid city. I’m sure Roma-Lazio will be a dream to play in, just like River Plate-Boca Juniors. That’s also a classic derby that everyone wants to take part in.
“I don’t know if I’ll be in the starting XI straight away, but we’ll see what decisions the Coach makes.”
