Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has hailed the form of Luis Suarez.

Enrique admits he had his doubts about the striker when he first arrived from Liverpool last year.

"When he started out with us his image was the big question. When he doesn't perform the critics crawl out," said Enrique.

"His numbers are excellent, he's a vital part of the team in every way. He's a leader when it gets difficult, when we really need him. If it takes time for him to get back in the Uruguay side that's ok, but I hope he goes back playing with his national team."
