Enrique relieved as Barcelona labour to win at Celta Vigo

Jeremy Mathieu struck the winner as Barcelona edged Celta Vigo 1-0 at Balaidos yesterday.

The French defender outmuscled his marker at the far post to head home Xavi's free-kick in the 75th minute, just two weeks after nodding in the opening goal in the 2-1 win over Real Madrid.

Barca coach Luis Enrique said: "Even though we like to have control of the game, you can't always do that. Celta were the better side in the first half, but in the second half we improved.

"We knew Celta would make life difficult for us because they are one of the best sides in the league pressuring you.

"The game was open at all times. It was decided by a set piece, and we knew it could be like that."
