Enrique held 'positive' crisis talks with Roma players

Luis Enrique has held crisis talks with his AS Roma players.

Enrique had warned he "would resign if the players no longer followed" him, while fans called for his dismissal in a protest at the train station after the 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina on Sunday.

Crisis talks were held at the Trigoria training ground and the news emerging from the meeting suggests their faith was renewed.

Directors Franco Baldini and Walter Sabatini were rumoured to have doubts about Enrique, but have confirmed their confidence in his work.

The players also gave their backing to Enrique, as represented by the veterans of the squad.
