Many inside the locker room believed Andres Iniesta should've started ahead of Andre Gomes, while it was felt Samuel Umtiti deserved a call ahead of Javier Mascherano, who was lucky to escape a penalty call on Lucas Vazquez in the first-half.

Barca players also believed Gomes should've been taken off for Iniesta, instead of Gomes and leaving Arda Turan on the bench until the final moments was frustrating.
