Enrique admits Roma outclassed by AC Milan

AS Roma coach Luis Enrique concedes they were outclassed by AC Milan last night.

The 3-2 home defeat this evening was their second consecutive loss in Serie A after falling to Genoa midweek.

"There is too much of a gap between us. We had many shots, but without the grit that is necessary in these games," said the Spanish Coach.

"In the first half we couldn't get near their goal, but the truth is we never had the chance to win it.

"All week we had discussed the problems in defending from set plays. There is an absurd difference between Nicolas Burdisso's goal, where he jumped with Gianluca Zambrotta glued to him, and Alessandro Nesta's goal in which he was allowed so much room it felt like he was at home.

"In these games, the little details make the difference. We are not yet a great team and we have to improve. You can see the lack of experience, too, which has more to do with concentration than age.

"When I came here, everyone knew what my idea of football was. I always put out the line-up that I consider is best to win in that situation.

"We are missing many things, including grit, and I am responsible."
